*WHY ARE FACE MASKS IMPORTANT DURING THIS PANDEMIC*
Face masks are important in protecting the nose and the mouth from pathogens. There is, however, a lot of debate on whether a mask can protect you from corona virus. However, a mask is aimed at protecting what you breath in and also what you exhale into the environment especially when you sneeze and cough.
Studies show that the virus can be excreted into the air in the form of droplets which increases the risk of transmission. It is now mandatory to use a face mask in public spaces! Failure to that is a kshs 20,000 fine, a 6 month jail term or both!
